The general reaction to my leaving my current job has been a bag of mixed responses but generally positive. Its funny how I gave my notice on a Thursday morning and by Friday afternoon the entire plant was either asking when my last day was, exclaiming that I’d be missed or wondering where my new job was.What really made my day was when a bunch of the floor operators asked if I stayed they went to HR and ‘aggressively requested’ a bigger salary for me. I chuckled and responded “Oh, I’m not leaving because of money but I appreciate the thought.” That kept me smiling for the rest of the shift.
